It is important to keep your dryer venting ducts neat and clean, a buildup of lint in the duct can cause a fire. Even if it doesn’t cause a fire, a buildup can put more strain on your dryer by causing backpressure which leads to slow drying times and shortens the lifespan of your dryer. ¬†All you have to do is follow some simple steps and have the proper equipment on-hand: a vent brush and a vacuum cleaner with a hose attachment.

Check your vents frequently and perform this maintenance whenever you see the lint building up.
